Here

Here is  where I am at,

but not where I always want to be 

Here is where God Is

What I do not always see 

Glimpses of the future has me running to get there 

Only to realize that I am here. 

Here is where I ought to be

Here is where His presence leads 

Not two steps forward or two steps back

But He guides me from right here where I am at.

I do not need to run ahead 

Nor do I need to reverse things in my head 

For the past is in the past and the future in His hand, 

And He is here with me, my God, my creator, my savior, comforter, and friend.

And when I wonder, not knowing where to go

Here is where He will meet me,

And Here is where He will let me know.

Not where I got distracted or where I was deceived

Not where I checked all the boxes or met expectations and needs

But He is Here where I stand and not where I have been.

Yes, He knows all and is present in all time and space,

But the only place I can meet Him is Here,

Where He showers me with His love and grace.
