I am Avis Sparks, the founder of A Spark Ministries. I am glad that you took the time to visit our page. My husband, Kendrick, and I have created this website as a resource for the believer and the curious one to find encouragement, support, information, and hopefully inspiration to embrace the love and the word of God even more in their lives.

At a young age, I took to heart the scripture “my people perish for the lack of knowledge”, and these words created a desire in me to share knowledge with others that would alleviate unnecessary pain and struggle. The purpose of our ministry is an all effort to share the knowledge of God that can bring about healing, deliverance, and, circumvent others from experiencing certain failures and hurts. God’s word brings resolution, deliverance, healing, and growth; and I want to share what I have learned with others. I am thrilled over the opportunity to see change in your life because of the power of God’s love and word.
During my walk and relationship with God, He has taught me many lessons about love, grace, forgiveness, and hope. He has strengthened my resolve to grow as a Christian witness and be an active part of the body of Christ by enabling me to touch other people’s lives through the written and spoken word. He has given me an opportunity to do that through this ministry.

Our Vision
We aspire to educate, equip, inspire,and nurture the people of God. This ministry is here to encourage others toward healthy spiritual and emotional lives. Motivating one another to "acts of love and good works" (Hebrews 10:24) that edify the Body of Christ and bring light into this dark world.
As ministers of the great news, we strive to walk worthy of God's great sacrifice to bring us into the right relationship with Him. We prayerfully yield ourselves to being utilized by God as agents of growth and righteous change. Our duty and passion is to use every ounce of God's word and our gifting in any way to bring light, support and encouragement to believers in theirjourney to do the same.
