Do It Again

Do it again, Lord, Do it in me

Save my soul and make me clean

Deliver me from the tricks and the hindrance of the enemy

Do it again, Lord, in this, I plead

Rid me of this anxious state,

unsettled, ungrounded, and unknown

Drawn away by the bait

pushed and pulled and unaware of my fate

Thoughts run rapid, my desires I pursue,

But in all of it, Lord, where are you?

Have I strayed so far that I cannot see

I have stayed so long that I forgot how to be

Where is Your Word that perfects me?

Where is Your voice that soothes?

Where is Your Spirit that surrounds me and makes me new?

Do it again, Lord, set me free.

Do it again, cleanse my soul deep.

I need you to save me.

Show me what I need to do.

Show me how I’m supposed to move.

Do it again, Lord, make me new, do it again.

Do it again, Lord, you ask as if it’s necessary.

My Son‘s sacrifice has eternal weight and has already defeated the adversary.

I saved you when you asked the first time

Forgave you on the line of the first rhyme

I desire to bring light, comfort, and strength

But the thing you’re holding in your hands,

Will not allow you to pursue Me

Loosen your grip on the chains that have you bound

Take down those walls that dampen My Sound.

I have given you the liberty to overcome.

I spoke it and it’s true. It is done.

My son has done all the work that He needs to do

Now is your turn to use self-control and say “No”

To the things they would like to take hold

Repent of your ways that have darkened and stolen

My children walk in the light, and the things that I have ordered

Rid yourselves of these that has your thinking distorted

Allow your heart to be healed and cleansed from the weight of sin

Revere Me again and seek to be Holy

Forgive, be patient, Be Lowly

Fear, Be kind,

Look for peace and keep others in mind

Put on my Armour in walk in the Truth

Don’t look to the world for an example of what you are to do.

Receive My love in walk in your newness again

When Jesus said, “It is finished.” He penned the end.

Now you walk out the in-between receiving God’s love, grace, and mercy

Remain in the freedom that has been bought

Remember the teaching that has been taught

Stay steadfast in the faith and continuously walk

Hold tight when you want to stray

Try again each new day.

Do it again.
