Improbable Possibilities

Through many different voices and outlets, God encourages us to pursue purpose, vision, and the callings He has planned and created us to fulfill. Many of the things we are called to do may seem impossible, but it causes us to depend and trust in God, who can do the impossible. There is an idea about vision and dreaming that has been said in various ways, and I believe it holds true. If your picture for the future or aspirations don’t cause you to grow and reach beyond who you are right now, you are thinking too small.

Improbable Possibilities

How can I expect to pull off the impossible?

When is it improbable that I can accomplish the feat?

Why should I expect a miracle to appear before me in my time of need?

When I only depend on what I can naturally see

And that which I can achieve,

Placing my future in the hands of an inadequate, lowly,

(How shall I say it) fallible me?

When will I reach beyond what I can see?

When will I look beyond myself and seek a bigger, more adequate,

(Let’s get real) an Omni Potent Being?

The Almighty One,

The One who is “I AM,”

The God that made the sand

And holds time in His hand –

He has chosen to call me a friend

And offer me Love that I could never truly comprehend.

Yes, He is the One on Whom I will depend

To make the impossible possible, the improbable probable,

And the incapable capable of glorifying His Name.

If you depend on Him, you can expect the same.

I have chosen to place my faith in Him, trusting He knows best

Knowing that He will prepare me and take care of the rest

So now the improbable possibilities I no longer fear

Because I am confident and aware

Of the Presence and Power of the One who is forever near

I am allowed to sleep in peace, to dream the impossible dream,

And to recognize that, with His blessing and through His Son, I can accomplish incredible things.

Lord, thank You for the capability and desire to dream. We are grateful to be in a place mentally and spiritually that we can look beyond the physical and see the possibility we have in you. If we are not there yet, get us there. Help us work with You in preparing us and the things You have called us to accomplish. Bless us with big dreams that cause us to look up to You and grow, in Jesus Name Amen

Exercise your vision.

If you don’t have clarity for your future ask God to show You His vision for your life and instruct you in it. Take the time to write it down and be reminded of the “what and why’s" as time passes. Continuously look to God to confirm the “what and why’s” and ask for wisdom and insight on the “who’s, when’s, and how’s.”

Scriptural Encouragement

Matthew 19:26 “But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’”

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].”

Habakkuk 2:2 “Then the Lord answered me and said, ‘Write the vision And engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets So that the one who reads it will run.’”

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]
